What you need to know before providing your content
Style guide
As a standard, I proofread/edit to British English using UK style guides such as the Oxford Style Manual and the Guardian Style Guide.
Please provide details if you require a proofreading/editing service outside of my standard. Examples as follow:

Additionally, if any of the following are true, please be sure to include them in the form under special requirements:

Proofreading/editing copy in a format other than MS Word Track Changes or Adobe Reader

You are a non-native English speaker

Altering copy from British English to American English or vice versa

Copy is written in multiple ‘voices’ (with regards to blog posts, fiction books, etc.)

To get started
When submitting your enquiry, please include a 100-word extract from the end of the copy you need me to proofread or edit. This is so I can:

Determine what level of proofreading/editing may be required

Provide you with a sample of my work

Rates depend on length of work, level of edit and required turnaround time

I will provide a free quote once I receive details of your requirements

Price will always be confirmed prior to starting work

A deposit of 25% is required once terms and conditions have been signed, the deposit will be deducted from invoice at completion

Imposto de Valor Acrescentado (goods and sales tax) will be charged on all jobs

Under the following circumstances, I may be inclined to charge more than the standard rate:

​Rush jobs (typically fewer than three business days)

Working through the weekend to meet your deadline

There are extremely detailed requirements to follow
